My name is Mackenzie Averett. I was born and raised in Austin, my dog journey started about two years ago when I adopted my dog oliver. I sent him to a 4 week board and train and got to experience how valuable training is for a dog to thrive. Since then I started working with dogs and to say the least people were impressed. I know what it feels like when you don’t know what to do or who to trust, which is why I created Solo Pup Academy.

The most effective training happens through intentional, one-on-one attention. By working with only 2-3 dogs at a time in a calm, structured home environment, we’re able to provide focused, personalized training without the stress of a traditional boarding facility.

Our balanced approach combines high praise with reliable methods to clearly communicate with your dog. We reinforce the right choices, provide structure and accountability, and build confidence in a way that strengthens the bond between you and your dog.

The goal of our program goes beyond obedience — we prepare dogs for a fulfilling life. One where they can confidently go anywhere with you, navigate real-world environments, and enjoy true freedom through structure.
